Yesterday’s post got me thinking of fun, and how it’s been a bit lacking lately. I’m printing this instructional sticker and sticking it on my lamp (where I put appropriate things like this sticker and pictures of my bride and baby.) Created by the artist True, here’s the story.

Found out about True and the stickers from this TED video by Stefan Sagmeister, which I found through photographer John Paul Caponigro’s blog.

While looking for more on True and the stickers, I came across the interesting Chris Glass and his site. He has a journal entry on the stickers that also recaps Sagmeister’s video.

Just a nicely designed, hilarious site.

Two new sites I just found out about: Yimmys Yayo and FFFFOUND! Just a lot of cool images. Although I wish they were credited better on Yimmys Yayo. For example, I love this photograph, but I have no idea who shot it. Anyone know?

The MacGyver approach seems to work well for him and it’s a great way to do environmental portrait photography, too.

It takes some time to get through these (5 hours+) but they’re great to watch. Available on Netflix or amazonAmazon. There’s a wide range of material–finished pieces, mini-docs where they take apart their creative process and tours of their studio. Even an episode of the Simpson’s references one of their short films.
